60's neck, fast n smooth but not really thin. The Maxon pups are incredible. Best way i can describe them is they nail the Sykes Gibson "dirty fingers" tone in spades.
Midrange, presence & upper register detail are incredible.

yep no bolt on here.
Its weird ive scoured the net and seen 75 Greco LPC's and ive only found like one or maybe 2 1976's that have a 3 screw truss rod cover. Most all others have 2 screws.
Allen head truss rod.
From what i can gather the higher the serial # the better the quality of guitar & this one is in the 6XXX range.
Also seem alot of these like mine were special order.

The neck heel is different too, the 1976 Greco is a 5 piece mahogany & maple neck & pancake body just like the 1976 Gibson Norlin LPC w/a shaved neck heel and a little thinner body than the 1985 Tokai.
The 1985 Tokai is a one piece [no heel cap or headstock wings] all mahogany neck w/a bigger heel and thicker neck profile.
Most these early Japan LP's were hand made.

Nice guitars, and well-made. By hand. From good wood. For decades there was one master wood buyer at Fujigen who hand selected all the wood. They did tend to have pretty skinny necks though. I have a '77 Greco LP Custom.

I traded a Custom Stratocaster w/a guy on CL for this. I practically had to pry it outaa his hands. Thought he would never leave the guitar he loved it so much.
Im not selling this one cause after selling my Orville LPC 2 years ago its just too hard to find a good replacement of the same caliber guitar at least in the States.

So got to rehearsal space today. Ive had tons of guitars some exceptional and some crappy. Gotta say for a bone stock guitar this 1976 Greco beats them all not kidding.
Its something to behold and i be holden.
I read somewhere that in 1976 Fujigen set out to create a Les Paul that was "better than Gibson".
Well they sure did. They got this one right in 1976.
I remember Rick Neilson saying the first thing he did in Japan in the 70's was "buy some Japanese guitars".
