This thing sustains like crazy. I know some people don't like the ceramic magnets in these pups, but I've no complaints. I love the look of the grain.

Congrats! Love a Firebird. I have a similar model from 1990. One of the few Gibsons as comfortable to the body as a Strat (to me).

Are those a new kind of tuner? (Mine has these large, straight, banjo-type tuners, but the keys on mine look bigger.) Just wondering if they've changed to a new kind, or if I'm seeing an illusion from the angle of the photo.

When I'm home after work, I pretty much have it strapped on non-stop. It has such a great sound even when played acoustically. Chords really ring out beautifully

I am pretty jelly , newer version with the stienbergers , only way it would be better is with 3 minis ! Great score! Very nice , we like it a lot. The crowd is cheering enthusiastically , well at least the imaginary crowd in my head is !

Sweet. I don't think I've ever heard a 'bird. Not sure what they sound like. (Although, I have heard Skynyrd, so maybe I do.)

This one has ceramic mags in the pups. To me, they sound real fat, distort nicely, and clean up real well. My guess is it sounds a bit different than the original Birds did, but I'm no expert.

Is that the Firebird that was hanging on the wall in 1969 and the owner screamed at me for trying to take it down without permission! It cost $179.00 or so back then.
And now, you have it. That is one beautifully finished guitar.

I got same model and burst but from last year during the end of year sale. Really fun guitar that has a special sound. More versatile than people give it credit for.

Be careful using it in small rooms. It's huge!

Play it in good health!

It's huge for sure. The case itself looks like it's made for a bass guitar. I agree, it's more versatile than I thought it would be.
