NGD! 2015 PRS in the house!

Re: NGD! 2015 PRS in the house!

Picked up a brand spankin' new 2015 SC245, 58/15 pickups, 2 piece bridge Pattern neck, Rosewood headstock veneer, really nice piece of rosewood for the fretboard. Not sure the color, but its a kind of faded blue - grey color.
I went in with the intention of walking out with a 30th anniversary custom 24, but ended up with this instead.

Its a totally different beast than the Wolfgang, so its going to take some getting used to.
I just got a NGD chubby..
That PRS is beautiful!
Congratulations!

That's looks awesome Chris. I'm sure I've seen the boys in Alter bridge using similar spec' and looking guitars.

Wow!! That is gorgeous!! Love the color! Love the inlays! Small thing, but I also love the clear knobs they use. Ive never played one of their 245s. Congrats!!

no, not by looking but you can deduce it.

If you paid over 6000 bucks for a PRS, it's most likely brazilian.

If you paid less than 4000 bucks for a PRS, it's most likely indian.

Ya it was $3200. I have no doubt its Indian, I was just curious if you could tell by looking

ah :) well, no. not really. You can smell the differences, though, when you're sanding/shaving it. brazilian is a bit spicier if you will than indian. but don't start sniffing your fretboards, guys, it's really the dust when working with it.

To me, great quality rosewood smells awesome. like roses. Wenge smells like chocolate to me.
