Once the 57's in that guitar completely seize up from havin' cracklin's shoved down through the pole piece adjustment screws, throw a good set of 59's in that thing.

It has hot ceramics — 496R, 496T.

I had this out last night and discovered that it still has the frisk on the pickguard. Cool! Man, the bridge pickup seems really close to the strings. I don’t think I’ll change anything on it right away. Bridge and tailpiece are aluminum. Wish I had the natural companion amplifier, which is a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier. The fret ends are pretty smooth to the touch. The bridge saddles are all facing the right way. The inside of the case smells like vanilla.

If you're fresh out of double rectifier, in this recipe you can substitute in a boosted JCM800. It'll still taste great.

I’m going to keep it old-school for now, with the stock hot ceramic passives.
