Yup. A Grendel 727 from Rondo. My first time dealing with them... And I'm pretty damn impressed! The build quality is fantastic. The guitar itself feels and looks great. Neck is perfect, no sharp frets, tuners are decent. The electronics are nothing to write home about but I already planned on ripping all that out anyways. Might get a new nut and bridge down the road but they're fine for now

Dropped the B down to A and man oh man it's fun. Heaviness aside the ambient cleans I've been doing sound so cool. I'll have a demo up after I get the new pups here. Very VERY pleased with my first 7. Got some fun stuff on the way for it... Stuff that'll make it obvious it's mine... But that's a thread for another time. :D

Man, Im glad to hear your review is so good! Thats a killer price! I hear so many good reviews on Rondo stuff. Mostly the Agiles. This would be a cool entry to 7 strings on the cheap! congrats

That is one awesome looking shredstick. That rosewood looked almost like ebony for a second. I know if anyone can rock it, it's gonna be you.

They are addictive as hell. I haven't picked up a 6 string since I got my PRS, 4 months ago.

What's the scale on that one?

Yeah, I'm glad ya'll mentioned that. It really does look like ebony! There is this weird little strip of lighter rosewood though right near the 10-13th fret on the high E. But it's still awesome.

This is a 27" scale. My first longer scale guitar. I had heard there would be more string tension but honestly it's so minimal I can barely tell a difference. Feels natural.

But yeah, this definitely has my seal of approval. I had heard the first run of these back in 2009 were just awful. Loose necks on arrival, terrible fretwork, a white nut with huge slots that was painted black, incorrectly wired up. Just a bunch of ****. I only got this when I heard they were crankin' out some quality ones nowadays. So yeah, don't hesitate if you're lookin' for a good 7 for less than $200. They've got some other great finishes on there too.

Honestly I have no idea! I was thinking a set of DiMarzio D-Activators... Or maybe one of those new SD 7's (Pegasus, Nazgûl, Sentient) but they're so damn expensive. I'd much rather go used.
