NGD-Acoustic

Started off with gas after trying out acoustics at guitar store. I really liked the feel and balance of Breedlove guitars. The shape and contour are very comfortable and the sound was just phenomenal, for the price. So I ended up picking the Breedlove Atlas Solo with a solid spruce top and back. I find the hole on the side of the guitar quite nice. I can hear notes better when fingerpicking. I got a 'modified' drafting chair which I'll be using to jam tonight.

Re: NGD-Acoustic

Congrats!!! Breedlove makes some awesome guitars! I was looking at getting either a Breeedlove or a Taylor last week when I got a new acoustic but I ended up going with a Taylor. Hope you enjoy it! :)

NICE! Never seen one with the hole on the side. does that hurt projection? I can see how it would help you monitor

I played a few other Breedloves at the guitar store without the sound ports and I can say that it doesn't make much difference. It doesn't seem to affect the low end response of the guitar. In fact it gives it more headroom to vibrate freely. Other guitars I played like dreadnoughts and jumbos sometimes sound 'boxy' despite their build. I can hear certain nuances of the sound when I'm fingerpicking in contrast to the other guitars, and really it's a good thing.

Welcome to the Breedlove player family ! Awesome guitars for nice prices (Taylor... expensive as ****), love mine ^^.

Yours is pretty cool, dig the sidehole :p
