So after some negotiation I got my first ever Epi Flying V.
It's a 2005 Daewon and it could just be the first Chinese Epi I'll be keeping. The rosewood on the board is lovely, the frets are perfect and rock hard! However it's far from standard:
BKP CTS 550K Pots
Switchcraft Switch
Jensen PIO Tone Cap (it's HUGE)
Gibson ABR-1 fitted using custom made bushes
Calibrated Bareknuckle Nailbomb pickups (Ceramic bridge)
Sperzel Tone Lok Tuners
Graphtech Tusq XL nut
I'm calling it the black beast because it just blows me away! The pickups are monstrous yet articulate and the neck is like a frickin tree trunk. Never played a Daewon epi before but the fit and finish is spectacular and it resonates for days.

I took it to practice thinking it would sound rpetty cool, I was totally unprepared for just how great it sounded. Even when we tried it on my Lead guitarists (kinda crappy) rig it blew everyone away. Truly fantastic guitar.
