Absolutely correct. $225 is a great deal for that, especially with the Duncans. Even if you don't like the sound of them, you can pop them out and sell them for $100 and only have $125 into the guitar and put in a different set of pickups. (Some of the guitars I bought were Schecter Blackjacks that came with that exact set, and I pulled them all out. The JB is perfect for a bolt on alder bodied guitar. In Mahogany it just didn't balance right. )

Yeah, as much as wish I didn't, I always think about the money. Like if I can sell it and make money, then best way to sell it etc etc. Obviously I'm not going to sell unless 100% needed which isn't happening anytime soon,

That's a good way to do it.

#1 - Can you sell it for more than you paid?
#2 - Will you have something to play if you have to sell things?

I can sell half my guitars off and still have too many.

I know it's the tinest bit wrong but I was actually thinking if I were to sell, I would post it on craigslist like "ESP LTD H-400" for like $300(I know, probably no way to make that much) without the SD pups. I mean $300 for a set neck "like-new" mahogany body doesn't seem too bad! Especially if they look it up and see the MSRP of $799, even if that was with the stock SD pups..

Although, as of now I'm happy with keeping it. Same with all my guitars.

Forgot about the price, if you like it then it's a great guitar! I mean you're getting $150 worth of pickups in it so when put into perspective the shell of the guitar is only costing you like $75? That's pretty amazing in my book if it plays good, or at all!!!

I have a $3000 plus Fender that never gets played because I have a bunch of MIM's that not only play better but sound way better too! I've built the guards in them and set them up so they are exactly how I want them? I think if the house was to burn down I'd leave the Custom Shop and just collect the insurance? I've got some others that are worth maybe $400-$500 but to me they are priceless, they'll be what I grab on the way out! Guess I probably ought to grab the kid too??? I'm just kidding, if I have a fire I'm grabbing my son & running like hell!!! Guitars, guns, amps, pedals, they are all just stuff & very replaceable, no matter how much I love them???
