Traded for her last week but just got around to really cleaning it up restringing it and taking some decent photos today.
This finish is seemingly imposable to capture it is much more of a very deep metallic burgundy than the photos show. It's called Crimson Swirl and this finish is simply stunning in person! I had seen other Jacksons in so called Crimson Swirl but none that looked like this one!

Probably the closest photo to the true color only brighter and more vibrant in person.

Now i remember what it is about them, or at least the one I tried.The 90's Jackson Professional neck fit like a glove into the DK2M body, but the neck was wider I guess, and the string spacing was narrower- too narrow for sure! . I think i was using a JT580 Takeuchi tremolo( should have the same spacing as your JT-580 Lo-Pro.) .
That would mean the DK2M neck is wider, which could be a good thing. I don't know for sure.

I think I will try to get one like you got eventually Ascension; that looks sharp. Love the Alder body and Maple neck..Now delete this thread before word gets around on those ! (lol).

Postscript; if ya really wanna snazz that baybe up and maker 'er a real player, put a OFR on it! AFAIK, it fts right on in place of the cheap JT-580 LO-Profile that is stock on those DK2m's.

I dunno man. Lot of people arent crazy about red guitars, including myself. I happen to have the exact same color Jackson ( mine is a RR3 Rhoades w/ Rosewood neck), and the color is called "Eerie Dess Swirl". It looks pretty evil, and I warmed up to it because of that I guess, but at first I was like; Oh well, I'd prefer white or something.

Oh cool score. I want to get my hands on a jackson jdr or jsx those things would have to be the moist underrated unknown Jackson out there.

I bought a DK2M off this forum a few years back - Not considering the price, it was one heck of a guitar!

There are 2 "swirls" the Eerie Dess is a blue/green/ purple swirl and this Crimson swirl. You see the Eerie swirl from time to time but the Crimson Swirl is pretty rare. Most did not want to pay the $100 up-charge for the Swirls so they all are pretty scarce.
I kind of like Red guitars had a "few" over the years!

Thought about that but the guitar sounds really good + the Lo- Pro trem took a set when I re-strung it quickly and so far has been really stable on tuning. Only thing is the arm is a little sloppy so if I can get that issue solved I will likely leave it alone.

That's beautiful. Love those Jackson swirl finishes.

Photo tips for finishes like that (or any finish really); outdoors during the day, little sun to light overcast. Pics will come out real nice then. I had a midnight wine USA Strat that was a ***** to get good shots of. Natural lighting was the best lighting for it.

Awesome! Congrats!! I had a purple Dk2 a few years back and loved it. I REALLY Loved the Dk2ms cuz of the cool looking board

Tried direct sun and that is what I used for most of the photos but the color still washed out big time. Will try more indirect sun next time.
