NGD: Charvel So-Cal

After 16 years since I got my Fender Strat I finally decided it was time to get a new axe. I always was fascinated by the looks of Dave Murray's red superstrat from early 90's so I decided to go for this one.

I am liking the distortion bridge but I think I need to tweak the neck pickup height. I will keep the stock pcikups for a while but sooner or later it will become either HSS or HSH and my old strat will become an SSS soon.

Lovely! I've got a San Dimas, and it's a real player, it's got my favourite neck ever; I'm absolutely sure you'll love it.

Nice colour. I've got a San Dimas and love the neck profile with the rounded edges. Dave did use a JB (and a SD) in those days if your going for the exact same thing.

I have been using my Fender for so many years and I am so used to its size but the feel the Charvel is great, specially when bending with those jumbo frets.

And here is my all time guitar hero with his red jackson, I wonder what happened to that guitar. The tuners and bridge are chorme but I won't change that in my Charvel. I think Dave was actually a killer shredder on "No Prayer" and "Fear of the Dark"

Probably in storage is my guess. Both Adrian and Dave collect(ed) guitars. Fender, ESP, Jackson, Gibson, Lado, Ibanez even Squier is what I've seen them with live.
One thing I would really like to get a hold of is an actual clear shot of their pedal boards in the early 80's. I know what they were using from liner notes and interviews, but not what series (eg. MXR script D+ or block logo) and in what order they were hooked up. Slightly Maiden obsessed.

What are you using for the neck? '59 works great for Murray lead tones in a strat in my experience.

Actually I may be using a Screaming Demon in the neck. I am not trying to replicate his tone but actually want a good HSH with a nice single coil tone when split yet a very nice tone for solos. For example I was originally planing to put a JB in the bridge but I will try to appreciate the Distortions first before that.
