How the hell did you do that?

So far, I'm happy. The 3 barrel saddles are more difficult to set than a Strat bridge, but I'll get over that. I was afraid the neck was gonna be too skinny, but it feels in the same ballpark as my other guitars. I do intend to de-gloss it, though. The pickups are surprisingly nice, especially the neck.

All in all, these things are a crazy value. I didn't steal this one, but I was anxious for a Tele and paid less than $300. For that price, I don't think it gets any better.

That’s awesome. I think some of the pickups depending on the model are tonerider OEM, I’ve only heard good things about them.

I’ve used compensated 3 saddle bridges and they were easier to setup than Normal ones. I don’t know about the CV’s.

I just downloaded the picture to my phone then rotated it there then reuploaded it :)

Nice!

Three barrel saddles sound like Teles. You want it to sound like a Tele don't you, of course, you do.

I plan to. Also, I'm replacing the pots. The ones in it work, sort of, but if you put any pressure against the tone, like doing the fake-wah trick, it cuts out sometimes. Gonna set the tone to only work on the bridge pickup, too. Just like my Strats, I like the neck wide open but the bridge rolled back.

Incidentally, remember EVH's reasoning for only having a bridge pickup? How if you set the amp to sound good with the neck pickup, the bridge is an icepick, and vice versa? Seems like maybe if he'd left the tone control on his guitar, he wouldn't have had that problem.

For sure. Though I do want to try a top loading bridge at some point (Ry Cooder says the tone opens up), I have no intention of moving from the 3 barrel saddles.

Again, I gotta say the Tonerider pickups are ridiculously good. I cannot wait to fire up my Super Reverb tomorrow and give this mf'er a workout.

For the record, I just read the pickups are not Toneriders. They're wound in the CV Squier factory, where the Toneriders are also made. When I swap the pots, I'm going to measure them. The Tonerider AIII set is 7.1k and 9.2k. Won't be surprised if these are in the same ballpark.
