Wouldn't extraction risk damage to the guitar body? What is the benefit of removing them for a job like this? Seems like a judgement call either way...?
Gotta dock ya a few points for leaving the bridge post inserts in during the paint process.

Keeping them black and it looks more professional. It's easy to remove them with no risk to the guitar body. I've done it with a bolt that threads in, then I grip it with pliers or vice grips and pull up slowly. There is an extractor tool to make it easier but I don't have one of those. They aren't glued in, just snug in the hole.

Did you "free-hand" the jumping deer or did you have a decal or template?

Only thing that would make it sexier is to make that deer a doe.................heh, heh, heh.
My "Caramel Burst" started out as a Vendetta. I put a deep arm relief in it, and carved in a finger relief in the lower bout ala PRS.
