NGD Eastwood sidejack mach 2

I got my Eastwood guitar in today, it's a copy of the johnny Ramone mosrite guitar. It sounds pretty good, gas alot of midrange but the 60 cycle hum from the single coil bigs me so I'm going to put a noiseless SC in it's place. The pickups do actually sound good and the hardware seems to be decent. The nit was not cleaned up after cutting but it is cut correctly. All in all I'm pleasantly surprised, it has a few things I'm going to change but not a bad guitar. I wouldn't buy another guitar from them nit because this was disappointing but I just don't like any of their other models, I only like this one because it's the johnny Ramone guitar.

cool - I've been loosely following them since the days of myrareguitars.com. kinda wanted their ovation electric copy but always felt the cost was a bit much for a knockoff. glad you dig yours.

I think I'm going to replace the single coil in the bridge with a fender ultra hot noiseless pickup I have laying around here. It has a good bright midrangey tone but the 60 cycle hum has to go. I see no reason to replace the mini hum in the neck. I'm also going to replace the tuners with some steinberger gearless locking tuners I have laying around here. So it's going to get new tuners, new bridge pickup as well as new pots, cap, and output jack. I think I'm going to do the wiring as two push pull pots serving as a volume/tone control for each pickup instead of a master volume and tone control.
