Thats the sweetest Orville Ive ever seen!!!
Monty, is the model number for that Edwards E-LP-92CD VW? I'm considering getting an Edwards LP CTM and I can't tell if that's a step-up or down from the LP-92CD series:

When I've got enough coin, I'm definitely going to try to spring an Edwards LP.
Those are some great looking guitars guys and I apolgize for hijacking your thread, but whats the history behind the "Orville by Gibson" guitars? I've never seen that before. How does it differs or what the significance behind the name change? Are these any more or less valuable?
Thanks,
Gibson stopped producing these because they were too good and relatively cheap, which made the USA made Gibson guitars look overpriced. NO..?? :scratchch Gibson.. Over priced?? :deal:
hahahahaha
There is a very informative article about these in Wikipedia:

and another interesting article here:

Shortly, Orville by Gibson Reissues are the high end Japanese replicas produced in the early 90s (roughly equivalent to Gibson CS Historic models), regular Orville by Gibson guitars are close to Gibson USA guitars and today's Epiphone Elitist models (which are made at the same factory BTW), as opposed to just Orvilles (without the words "by Gibson") that were built using lower specs. Gibson stopped producing these because they were too good and relatively cheap, which made the USA made Gibson guitars look overpriced in comparison. Now those ObGs are very sought after, and for a reason!
