NGD - Fender Classic Player Baja '60s Telecaster

Faded Sonic Blue : party:

I think these are absolutely stunning guitars, love, love, love the color. I really like the pickups and switching options. Plays nicely but it still has 9's, needs 10's and a proper setup.

Man that is a sweet guitar, I love the faded blue. Kinda want the Strat version! :D

Re: NGD - Fender Classic Player Baja '60s Telecaster

Cool, and congrats. I wasn't aware that a '60's-style Baja had been released.

Re: NGD - Fender Classic Player Baja '60s Telecaster

That's real cool, my second favourite fender colour after Mary Kaye blonde. Congrats!

Re: NGD - Fender Classic Player Baja '60s Telecaster

Needs a pointy, more frets, floydsrose, humbuckers, 3 more saddles and a double cut but besides that i think its perfect. hehe

Kidding brotasmit that thing is all class.

I like the Baja Series. It makes it hard to justify spending crazy money on CS Teles, when these MIM ones are spec'd out as good as they are (9.5" radius, vintage hardware, 21 frets, etc)

It made it really hard to consider the American Special anyway.

I was basically down to 3 Teles out of about 25 or so I played. An American Std, tri burst, rosewood board, a 50's Baja (pretty killer!) and this 60's Baja. All 3 were excellent, in fact most of the Fenders I played were pretty good. There were a few duds but out of 25 that's not too bad I guess. The 60's just had the right mix of options for me.

Bridge
Neck/Bridge in parallel
Neck
Neck/Bridge in series

When both pickups are on the S1 switch can then be used to knock them out of phase. It is a push button centered in the volume pot.

Very nice!! Congrats!! The S1 switch seems like it would be pretty cool to have. That have the Tex Mex pups?? I remember years ago I was shopping Teles and I played a bunch and liked (it was either the baja or tex mex) the best and it was a lower priced than some of the others. Was before the S1 switch tho..

I'm glad Fender is finally giving us the combination of modern 9.5" radius/medium frets AND vintage spec for everything else. Just a few years ago, it was either one or the other.

Re: NGD - Fender Classic Player Baja '60s Telecaster

It has a '52 neck and a '58 bridge
