Made in 2012, released in 2013. Only 250 were allowed imported into the US. Previous owner swapped out the pickups for a set of Fralin Real 54's and also had the pots, caps & toggle replaced with higher quality parts.

Neck is a very thick soft V that transitions to a full C (aka boat neck).

I'm a hard rock/punk rock guy so, even though the pickups are amazing, I'm putting an SD Little 59 in the bridge position...it'll get wired directly to the volume pot with no other pickups connected and no tone knobs connected either. The volume pot will be moved down to the middle knob position as well. Normally, I would get a replacement pickguard to fully remove elements I don't use, but I've decided to keep this one classic and classy.

I also usually put in locking tuners, but these tuners are so dang rock solid and easy to use that I'm not going that route this time.

I'm one happy camper...my wife has killer taste!

Very very nice

You could always put SSLs in there and have plenty of beef for punk rock

Re: NGD - Fender MIJ 1954 RI FSR STRATOCASTER...

Everything about it looks too classic to be a lil '59 candidate; but nice score.

Very nice guitar! Looks like dinner of your wife’s choice is in order here.

Your wife clearly Rocks! but doesn't she know it had a few too many pickups for you LOL

Re: NGD - Fender MIJ 1954 RI FSR STRATOCASTER...

That is just beautiful, I love the colors together. Your wife and the guitar are both keepers!

I just got my guitar back from the shop. The purists will hate the changes I've had done, but they were essential changes for the way I play and for what I need from a guitar. A few bits of info I neglected to include in my OP:

Nut width: 1.650"
Neck thickness at first fret: .925"
Neck thickness at 12th fret: 1"

The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan little 59 and I absolutely LOVE how it makes this guitar sound with my hands through my amp. The neck and middle pickups are Lindy Fralin Real 54's. The volume from the Little 59 is perfectly balanced with the Real 54's. The Little 59 is not connected to the tone knob.

I decided to have Warmoth send me a proper 1-ply pickguard (thin like the originals, as opposed to the thick 1-ply guard it came with...think Squier CV50 pickguard but without the bevelled edges) without the stock volume hole cutout. Got it on today...looks awesome. Also picked up a proper Fender Tweed case. The only thing I have left to do is to get myself a Fender Pure Vintage 1954 Stratocaster Accessory Kit so that I can have the proper knobs, toggle switch and tremolo cavity cover.

It would be really awesome if Warmoth had an SD single coil size humbucker cutout option so I didn't have the gaps on each side of the bridge pickup.

(For the record...I do realize the ridiculousness of being perfectly fine with having a Little 59 installed while also feeling a need for period correct knobs and covers.)

I love this guitar!
