It's a pretty great guitar. I'll have to spend more time to figure out if it's "The One". It's a bit odd that it came with what I think are 10 gauge strings. It's really weird to play on such light strings on a larger scale guitar. They're really tense but really thin. It's tuned up to E, too, which is even more bizarre.

The guitar is surprisingly light. I was hoping for something with a bit more heft to it. I'm going to put heavier strings on it. While I'm there, I'm going to pull out the single coil and replace it with a Blackouts Single. I'm going to replace the bridge with a Blackouts Metal, too. I'll replace the switch, too. Just for fun. I think it will be a lot better once I get a different set of strings on there.

Videos to come once it's all set.

She's definitely a looker!

How does she play?
I'm not sure yet. The strings on it are 10's tuned to E on a baritone. That's just a really, really odd feeling. I just got back from the store with a set of 14-58 strings. Now it's time to take her apart and make her right.

Re: NGD (finally)! Custom Agile Baritone!

you ordered a custom guitar but they didn't install the pickups you wanted? unhetero.

looks cool tho. have fun with it.

Re: NGD (finally)! Custom Agile Baritone!

Btw, you don't have hair on your toes...

:lmao: i have feet like a hobbit. i'm almost jealous.

that is one disgustingly awesome guitar! whats rough about the wiring? my guess would be a small control cavity. hope you get it all sorted out and get the tuning to where it should be.

Re: NGD (finally)! Custom Agile Baritone!

I have hair on my toes, but I'm so pale that it turns invisible from a distance. :D

It's all set now. The trick was with the pre-amp and electronic pickup selector not working right. After all my hard work, I got it down. It is a bit because the top knob is in rather close proximity to the switch, but the main problem was that the middle pickup's quick connect came loose while I was soldering things.

I've got it strung up with 14-58 strings now and she screams. She sounds dead when unplugged since I've been playing on a semi-hollow for the past week. When plugged in, it's truly a beast. Great distortion tones and really good cleans. Even the Blackouts Metal gets a good clean with the active pre-amp on.

She plays fantastically. The 28" scale really fits my hands perfectly. I now know what it feels like for someone with normal sized hands to play guitar. It's pretty sweet. My hands don't get cluttered at the higher frets anymore and I can still reach the big stretches that I use in my playing with [general] ease.

It's safe to say that this is my new main guitar!
