I ordered a 2002 Gretsch 5129 Electromatic from GC. It arrived a few days later at the store. After taking nearly an hour, they found it in the warehouse. It was in good well played condition, but someone had removed the bigsby spring and stuck a rubber cork to block the bigsby. They also lowered the action to accommodate 9s. I went to local luthier Tim Lawson of Tim’s Guitar Workshop and bought a bigsby spring and a roller bridge. After installing the spring, bridge and DR Pure Blues 11s, it was a Gretsch again. I really like the Dearmond 2000 pickups and the light weight and resonance of a 5120 series Gretsch.
