What knobs

Not fond of the top hat knobs
Black with chrome inserts doesn't match the hardware are all

Black box for me as well but I pretty much have a no gold policy for guitars so I say go with the other one.

So i am getting an almost chorus effect from the pickups
with the Zombie it sounds kinda like a reverb
which is cool and all because the Zombie doesnt have reverb

on the new Mooer Pedal though its a different story
it does have reverb and they extra is unwanted

do you think that may be "horn" sounds that was mentioned earlier?
maybe potting or something

the pickups sound fine other than that

kind of an overtone, weird

EDIT

Come to think of it
it may be the bridge

or something else making the overtones

The overtones are an artifact of the semihollow

Or it may be the OEM strings

It sounds like reverb on an amp with no reverb
Or maybe a slight chorus

It looks amazing to me
Plays incredible

The HPL fretboard is slick as glass
between that and the stainless frets
I should never have a sprout problem

Locking tuners might help

The only downside
The body is so light, the neck seems a bit heavy

Loving it

They have a less expensive version with chrome hardware and a roller bridge

It's just not as pretty as the flamed ones

It's hard to call any of these expensive

For what they are they are just awesome guitars

This is my only Grote
Some one here yers ago got a tele shaped full hollow
I thought that was the most interesting thing I had ever seen
Cont remember who it was........

So I put the Guyker tremolo on with a roller bridge

As I moved the tremolo i noticed the low E had a rattle

1000012223.webp
May not be able to see it here but the E has dug into the nut and is laying on the first fret

Looks like the OEM had filed it a bit deep and when the new string sawing on the superglue and baking soda, it fell out

The other five were perfect
just the one.

So I had some PPS nuts i got years ago from Aliexpress before the common era
You know the ones with the hollow center

1000012227.webp

1000012229.webp

The PPS was much shorter than the original bone nut

1000012230.webp

So I had to shim it with two small strips of business card

1000012226.webp

Touch of Titebond between the layers to hold it in place and a bit on the nut

Strings hold it until it drys

Weird the low E on the new flat wound strings broke at the new locking tuner

These D'Addario half rounds have been a disappointment lately.

The seem to have a bit of gunk on the plain strings when I take them out of the package
The customer service is always super nice and sent me two sets to replace the bad set i had then.
This set was the same way. I took some 1000 grit sandpaper I had laying on the table and wiped it off it looks like just gunk not corrosion, cleaned right off. No pitts

I just dunno , I'm not gonna bother them this time
