Feel is incredible actually, I was shocked at how comfortable and easy it is to play. Sounds cool if you like funky old Japanese guitars, really does get the Hound Dog vibe when cranked. The playabilty is so-so right now but I'm going to work on that. It has a lot of charm for sure.
Heit Deluxe's were Teisco made for a NJ distributor.
Feel is incredible actually, I was shocked at how comfortable and easy it is to play. Sounds cool if you like funky old Japanese guitars, really does get the Hound Dog vibe when cranked. The playabilty is so-so right now but I'm going to work on that. It has a lot of charm for sure.

I am fairly obsessed with this little guitar. The body design for a swept wing is brilliant, you can sit with it on your leg no problem.
The neck has a crack from someone over-tightening it, I assume the guy I got it from did it, it's kind of a drag but it's also why I scored it so...... No biggie already have a temporary replacement til it can be fixed properly. 24" scale btw.
The guitar can not be intonated the way it was built so I moved the bridge to accomodate the bad math on the Teisco's part. I am hoping to put the other neck on tonight and see how it works.
I started cleaning the pots and switches but it's going to need a new output jack, too much effort to clean the light corrosion out of the original one. The pickups are low output and they go thru really low pots so any scratchiness and whatnot can easily overwhelm the sound. I am going to grab a few dead pickups from the web and have my buddy rewind them to a little hotter spec, maybe something like Ant Surfer's. That would be ideal for this guitar.

I think I briefly owned a short scale bass that was branded as a Heit. IIRC, research suggested it was made by Teisco.

1967-68 best I can tell.
Heit was just a distributor that had guitars made by Teisco, I assume they were badged in Japan but maybe not til they got to NJ. Heit was OOB by 1970 from what I can find.
