You may be on to something there Gearjoneser. I'm very happy with my Norton/Chopper combo, and it would look sharp to have a pickguard with a humbucker bridge and single neck only. I don't use middle pickups any way. The problem is that I'm not a fan of any of the Duncan single neck buckers. I really like the STK-S9b, but they don't have a neck model. That would be great with a Custom Custom or something.

Looks classy.

I have a black pearl pickguard on my white hardtail strat, with white pickups and it looks super sexy

Ha, that's exactly what I'm doing for my "Iron Maiden" strat, except the pickups are Dimarzio Super Distortion/PAF Pro.

White+Black+Chrome= gear porn IMO

That's sick, and the toggle switch is much better than the regular strat switch. Yeah the Super Distortion/PAF Pro is a classic combo, but these days I'm really digging the D-Sonic/Liquifire combo.
