High Voltologist
Gretsch Electromatic Pro Double Jet G5448 Limited Edition - might as well be a lower cost MY II

'Trons, super light, gorgeous color and the best built MIC guitar I have ever come across. Killer!

Love it!! How does it compare to the Malcolm Young Model you used to have?

It's taken years for my guitar snobbery to include a place for fine built overseas instruments. Look purty.

I wish I never got rid of that one Jolly and I rarely say that. That original one was an awesome guitar but the zero fret ruined it for me. I probably should have tried an SS fret in it but after replacing it 3x I was tired of it. I wasn't especially looking for this guitar it just showed up while hunting for a new amp and I couldn't pass it up. I've wanted one of these Electro Jets for a while to replace that MYI I had, guess I finally found the right one.

The new guitar is basswood with a maple top and neck as opposed to mahogany body and neck with a flame maple cap of the old one. This new guitar isn't quite as crisp but it sounds really good and plays great without dialing anything in yet. The weight is about the same both are fairly light. The 'Trons take a little bit more dialing in for me than regular 'buckers but I'll take care of that at rehearsal tonight.

none of my guitars have guards except my strat (well my Jr. too but...), don't imagine this one will either but I was more interested in playing it last night

That looks great.....glad it doesn't have a Bigsby. That thing would channel Malcolm, plugged into my Marshall 2204.

It would be tempting to use it exclusively for double tracking alongside a humbucking guitar, just for the authentic AC/DC rhythm sound.

Neat looking beast. Crank it up loud!

Yeah it's pretty killer, it definitely like EL84's

Beautiful. It's like a Bo Diddley, but with a shape. :)

Enjoy.

Digging the hell out of this thing!

Definitely using it for Saturday's gig. Just have to flip the 3 low side bridge saddles to dial in the intonation properly, no biggie.

Pulled the guard off and got it a new friend.
