Perfect.was expecting another lame knock off or crummy Studio, faded , or something like that ..thats the real deal. You may be quite happy to know that top looks a bit like a friends realgenuine old 1959 Standard. Quite sure that guitar is gonna be about the next best thing.Gorgeous. Great score.

Whoa!

I once tried a '58 Historic Reissue for a couple minutes in a store. Top shelf everything, really.
Congratulations man!

Re: NGD! Im a Les Paul owner again

The only thing thats kind of strange is the knobs sit up kind of high. But every single on of the other reissues I played today were the same

Re: NGD! Im a Les Paul owner again

The flame and color are very similar to my R9. I think yours is gorgeous!

Congrats!

Bill

Post pics of all your guitars!

This R9 is right up my alley.
Do you still have that stunning charcoal flame Singlecut?

This is the only one I have with me right now. (my other 2 are in CA at my parent's house). I sold the single cut a while ago because the neck was too thick and I just didn't jive with it

The neck on this is basically at the edge of my comfort zone. Its pretty full feeling, and i don't have very big hands

The warranty card says the guitar was finished on 8/24/15, but it has a 2014 serial number, specs and the medallion on the back for the pickup selector cavity color says 2014 on it as well

Love the flame/figure on that one. Subtle and not over the top. Just put down my 2014 R8 (avatar) down and damn. It reminds how good a guitar it is every time. 2014 is suppose to be a good year for historics. Make sure you keep it.

Nice guitar, and welcome back to the club. I figure you might need a brief reminder of the rules. The pickup selector is to remain on "treble", the volume knobs are for decoration, and the tone controls are strictly off limits.

Re: NGD! Im a Les Paul owner again

Congrats. I’ve been looking at those on Willcutt’s website. Nice store. I bought my EBMM LIII from them, and I like stopping in there once in a while, but I miss dealing with Dwight. He was a good guy.

And probably one of the most beautiful things about it is that IT STAYS IN TUNE. Guess the custom shop knows how to correctly cut nut slots
