Dang it couldn't stand it
I wanted a Gibson Modern Double cut soooooo bad

I contacted my Asian friend
And they will build me one
With some modifications

Here's a link to the build

So I get the body shape
With the Sterling color that's not available anywhere here in the US

Also get black binding and stainless steel frets

I get my custom headstock shape with my Ehdwuld logo

Ebony fretboard
Tummy cut

Small hole under the bridge to route the piezo bridge back to the control cavity

Slim taper neck shape

I don't need another guitar
I dont have room for another

I will feel ashamed for about a month or two till it shows up

Neat, I enjoy watching your builds progress. You got any tricky wiring in store for it?

Just gonna put in a piezo bridge like I put on my semihollow Ehdwuld
Should be able to match the controls as well

Maybe try out some of the other pickups I have scattered about

Everything has the JB/JAZZ set
I have some Chinese JB/JAZZ similar style pickups I had picked up last year

I'm gonna give them a try . If the installed set dont sound good

I'm still sorting out the pot size for the volume pot for my piezo bridge

I have a 250 x 250 k stacked concentric pot
I am gonna try for the volume tone

I read somewhere that the piezo needs a 25 ohm volume

I dont know

Like in 2016

But not with acoustic bridges
Or some of my own mods

The color "Sterling " is available at Dawsons I the UK for 2000 euro whatever that translates to plus shipping

I want something very similar

My friends in Asia will make me something similar
I may have to put my own electronics in

But they promised locking tuners that I spec'd out
And stainless frets
And black binding

Oh and I think I want the transparent cherry back and neck
Instead of the natural finish I originally asked for
Its early , I can still change it
What do yall think

That is going to be sweet. I think I would go cherry on the neck and back as well.

This is what I'm thinking
I have two stacked concentric pots
One with both pots 250k
One with both pots 500k

So what I'm gonna do is add the 250 one to my current Ehdwuld semihollow
As the V/T for the piezo

If it works out then I will replace the two current knobs with the stacked ones

That way I don't drill more holes in my treasured instrument

If this gives me what I want then I will repeat on the new one when it gets here

My plan is got the tuners to line up with the nut slots

Ok on the piezo

I'm having trouble separating the tone control on the piezo from the magnetic pickups

I may have to go with a master tone and two volumes

On the volumes, I will probably scrape off the end of one of the wafer on the pots
This will open the circuit instead of shorting it
Which should turn it off without both volumes being able to turn it off

I dont know how else to separate the two volumes

Anyone got a trick for this
I think there is one for the two volume/two tone on an LP
But I dont know what that is

Ok so I'll wire this up in the morning

If I reverse the volume pots as shown it will make them independent

Sweet

Seems the picture I sent had more a purplish blue thing going
We will see if we can touch it up

They got the body color perfect



Ebony fretboard, the black binding just disappeared



The logo has a red tint, that they are gonna fix

Even the back looks awesome



The body is a couple of peices.
But they put a nice veneer over the back



And the back of my headstock
