If going one pickup, the BW rails splits very uniquely, there is almost a country twang to it clean.

Yea Gotoh are nice smooth tight tuners. I have a set on a parts caster and i love them. Better than my Schallers on my tele IMO.
Upgrade your pots and switches and jack. And bridge saddles. If its got a trem id upgrade to one with a steel block....or add a gfs steel block

My bass player is from Texas, he was ripping country rolls on it, and it sounded awesome split and clean.

For now, I actually put together a couple of pickguards... still can't decide. Can't wait for the guitar to come here.

One is black and has a zebra SSH+ with a cream knob, the other is cream, and has a black JB with a cream knob.

And yea, I was definitely planning on upgrading all the electronics. I've got a DiMarzio pot and a Fender (I assume Switchcraft?) jack.

My Dimebucker is also split and sounds great but does not have that twang quality the BW has. Maybe I will do a quick clip but my country chops suck.

Yeah, I never owned any Rails myself (other than single coil-size), and never tried them split. It would be interesting to compare, say a JB split with a JB Rails split.
