I try not to use locktite on parts like that unless absolutely necessary. The double washers were sillythat actually has the opposite of the desired effect and never lets them get a proper bite and shorten how much thread can be used.

Both my 2014 Classic (now my Son's) and my 2014 Trad came with the 2 star washers..When I completely stripped and rewired them, I left one off. My trad came with a plastic jackplate and I quickly got rid of that. The Classic came with the metal plate.

Well for those of you who don't already think I'm nuts I returned it today. Don't exactly know what caused it but I had the worst case of buyer's regret the last week. When I didn't take it to a gig the other night I kind of figured best not to keep it.

Gorgeous guitar, really well made just not the one I guess

Well I ended up getting one of my dream guitars today. GC made me an offer I couldn't hardly refuse. Thrilled with everything about it.
