NGD Jackson DK2

Couldn't resist this HSS Japanese Jackson DK2 guitar that I believe is from '97. It came loaded with Seymour Duncan JB and STK-1s and sounds pretty gnarly.

Re: NGD Jackson DK2

Black hardware was not available until 2005 so it's atleast a 2005. Nice guitar and Ive had many of them and they always treated me well especially after an Original Floyd swap and sanding the neck smooth....

Edit:
also Seymour Duncans (TB-4/STK--S1's) were also introduced the same year as black hardware. Prior to that it was chrome with Duncan Designed pups. It may have been 2006 though...

Cool! The serial number starts with 97 so that’s why assumed the year. What’s the advantage to swapping the Floyd out and are they interchangeable without making new holes?

Re: NGD Jackson DK2

That is classy. I’m starting to gas for an old shredstick again. I’ve been out of that business for more than 30 years. But these NGDs are killing me.

Re: NGD Jackson DK2

I’ve been back on the flat board, huge frets, easy playing thing too. Been eyeing those with the sustainer.

Re: NGD Jackson DK2

Now that's a real nice guitar. The flame maple top looks elegant and the guitar looks like it's ready to cause some mayhem.:headbang:

Re: NGD Jackson DK2

The serial number doesn't correlate to the year in any way but I can find a link to help you decipher it. They were built in batches of like 10,000 guitars per year and when they started that numbering system it started out at like 96xxxxx and went up thru the years, each year adding like 10,000-ish to the number.
That's a very rough explanation but it's on point with whats up.
