This was a dream guitar for me and I finally got one.
This is a Jackson Warrior WR1 in Absinthe Frost which was completed in January 2008 and I recently bought it for just over half what they were new

It’s by no means in perfect condition (it’s actually pretty aged) and the pickups will be changed from the EMGs that are currently in there.

Hmmm I see an X-shaped trend... and looks like high time to update your sig

Re: NGD Jackson Warrior WR1 USA

I'm probably the biggest fan of green guitars who does not have a green guitar. Now I'm turning green with envy.

Re: NGD Jackson Warrior WR1 USA

It's a pretty funky looking guitar for sure. I love Jackson guitars since I own one myself.;)

Re: NGD Jackson Warrior WR1 USA

Trying to justify it to myself despite that’s its nearly 6 times the price of the xiphos.
Not playing much at the moment as I’m recovering from a 20 KM hike I did earlier.

Re: NGD Jackson Warrior WR1 USA

AWESOME frickin' pair of X's, Axes, or whatever you call them!

Re: NGD Jackson Warrior WR1 USA

Well that's not good! maybe some touch up with some nail polish?

;>)/

Yeah I’ll touch it up or perhaps even get it refinished whenever the main reason i got this one was because it was cheap had no structural damage and was nearby.
They were around 3000 new and I picked it up for 1900

Well that's a good price for a U.S.A. made Jackson. BTW...I like the close up of the ebony fret board. I love ebony!;)

Re: NGD Jackson Warrior WR1 USA

I wouldn't bother with a repair; it's honest wear/tear & mostly on the back, although I'm a bit alarmed to see it to such an extent. Less scary to pick up and play without worry of scratching it. How old is that guitar?

Yeah I’m in love with MOP sharkfin inlays.
Will change the pups to Dimarzio.
The only two design features I dislike is the glossy neck and the knob placement.
I always wanted a USA Warrior and this was one of the few I could afford and the only one that didn’t have severe chips and dings on the pointy edges.

Still has the hang tag from the store and the date says January 2008
Also yeah fair point about the wear despite it being the most expensive guitar I’ve ever owned by a large margin I’m not scared about it losing its retail value so I’m not afraid to mod it and play it like it’s meant to be.

Just ten years and the finish is THAT toast????

Shame on Jackson, I thought it must be 30+... plenty of 70s and 80s guitars with no such issues

Re: NGD Jackson Warrior WR1 USA

You could always do a gentle scotchbrite-pad treatment to the neck's gloss for that satin feel. Soft and fast so you don't work into the coating much.

Man I love that Ibby too. Those and the rgt models from the mid 2000s were real bargains, however I do complain on the fret material, as with all of their MIK/MII stuff.

To clarify it only did that in the last few days I think it just reacted weird to the temperature of the house

That’s how it was when I arrived but it just started flaking and peeling off in the last few days.
