Probably 2 Super Ds or Super D/Super 2. They’re unpotted, which makes them about right for early 80s. I didn’t break the solder so I haven’t metered them, yet. I am, however, working slowly on a setup. I cleaned the frets and oiled the dry-af board, which actually looks pretty nice! I figure I’ll cut a nut slot a day then do intonation by the weekend, maybe.
Tight neck joint...interesting ‘long’ tenon...
Top-quality latex house paint refinish...
Sticky nut slots about 10x higher than they should be except the one I just finished cutting in the chipped-paint, unshaped, soft-ass plastic replacement nut...

Plays great and stays in tune, now. Today, I’m potting the squealy old Dimarzios and changing over to 50s wiring. The treble cap on the pots makes things a bit more piercing than I’d like when I roll off the volume, and rolling the tone back doesn’t help, much.

I think you’ll be happy with the 50’s wiring and no bleed cap.
I did the same to my LP a while back and have no complaints.

I do 50s wiring on all my stuff. Modern wiring is unuseable, imho, if you actually use your volume control. Also...vintage Dimarzios are just old squealy pups.
New, extra-long bridge studs, used tp studs, knobs, and freshly-potted Super Ds (13.6-13.7k for both). Nut slots cut, bridge saddles rounded a bit...
This is a DAMNED good player! I’ll eventually dress the fret ends a little better and it’ll pretty much be done. Once the housepaint comes off, I’ll have to decide whether it gets a real refin, or not...
