NGD: MusicMan #3

Not three years ago I thought I'd never be able to afford even one... well, there they are now:

Voila. I don't know how to treat an all Rosewood neck really (lemon oil/wonder wipes, or oil + wax?) but I am LOVING this trio. I also have a Strat which is my baby but for some reason I'm not picking her up as much.

Got the Al HH yesterday and it's all the guitar I could have hoped for!

Re: NGD: MusicMan #3

Didn't come with any of the guitars :P I still can't afford a brand new one at European rates (about $4k after conversion rate for a brand new AL). I'll look for it online of course once I'm out of work.

Re: NGD: MusicMan #3

Think yer a real stud with three Balls now, eh? (Someone had to say it)

Anyway, love the r/w neck. Oil finished necks in general ftw. How's the contrast in feel between r/w and maple?

Re: NGD: MusicMan #3

Though not a fan of the guitars themselves, you just gotta give them cred for that neck joint. The design is just so obvious to me, I can't understand why not mroe brands make it that way.

Re: NGD: MusicMan #3

They're my babies :) Way more guitars/quality than talent, but that's how I roll. Now to learn how to play the stuff.

Re: NGD: MusicMan #3

So you've got all the EBMMs in Luxembourg ;)?

By the way, no love for the Silhouette? That's probably what I'd go for if I was thinking about getting an EBMM.

Re: NGD: MusicMan #3

Superb collection there. Rosewood necks are so smooth to play, and great warm sustain.

I like the one with the P-90's, how does it sound?

Re: NGD: MusicMan #3

Like the roar of the mighty Thor when crushing ice giants' skulls.

Pretty awesome. HUGE, great for metal. A truly amazing guitar.

The Silhouette was the one I originally wanted. Then I came across the cheap Axis with the MM90s, then that STUNNING Axis SS in Purple... then I played an AL HH and wanted one.
... so perhaps the next one will be a Silhouette ;) But I'm set both for HH and HSS guitars now, and I don't play SSS much.

Re: NGD: MusicMan #3

AL w/rosewood FTW! I've got a 25th that I love, a rosewood AL is probably my next big purchase.

Re: NGD: MusicMan #3

HOLY**** she sounds HUGE. Just fired up the practice amp (as opposed to the Traynor DarkHorse) and I'm having a hell of a lot of fun with it. Smoother tones than a Strat (all Mahogany and Rosewood, not a bit of maple on this girl), warmer voice... really amazing.
