I dig it. Installed a Duncan Designed HB103 in the bridge and that thing a screams! The Grover tuners are excellent and aren't going anywhere. Wish I had tuners that nice on my other guitars. I love and always have loved the thin mahogany S series body, and I'm a big fan of the bridge on this model.

Re: NGD My first MIJ Ibanez

I love the S series guitars. Nice score!

The tuners look like they're mounted kinda funny - the shafts should be (more or less) parallel to the floor when the guitar is in a stand, but as long as they aren't hitting the headstock when you tune, they should be fine.

You don't see many S-series with a fixed bridge.

HNGD!

Nice Ibz stable ;). So, uh, you like black?

Iirc, those weren't made for very long and the Dr is correct, a hardtail S is not very common.

^^ You'd probably like the JS700 then, wrap around, P90s, mahogany body/neck. There were MIK and MIJ versions.

Very nice. I just picked up a SZ over the weekend. Great guitars.
