NGD My First Post Here

Re: NGD My First Post Here

Thanks for that info on the bridge, I'll drop the tension down tonight and raise the action a bit. Maybe I'll pick up one of those spanners too.

The guitar was set up pretty badly when I first tried it out. One of the pots was loose and I wondered if this thing had been abused. When it came back from the free setup Daddy's offers, it played much better. The action is a little low and it's buzzing on some of those big azz frets so it needs a little fine tuning.

Sorry to have bought this from under you. I don't think I'll sell it but I may go looking for another one because the pups, the Sperzel locking tuners and the neck and joint are so worth the price I got it for.

It's also nice that there are no signatures or marking on the guitar for a signature model. (Nothing against Donegan but I don't like pimping anyone other than Les Paul and Chet Atkins)

Re: NGD My First Post Here

I had to have a fret level done on mine when i got it it was uplayable and like I said the saddles were in bad condition. No worries about buying it it would have been awhile before i picked it up anyway. If you get the spanner watch around the vol knob its a little tight in there so it takes more small turns. yea you got it for a hell of a price though i paid 700.00 for mine still good. Enjoy it and I guess we will be fighting when they show up for sale LOL

I don't even know if Washburns are available where I live, but it looks nice !

Re: NGD My First Post Here

I took this thing through its paces last night at rehearsal and I am so loving this guitar. Something about it makes it the easiest playing guitar I own and I'm comparing it to some real quality pieces.

I think it's the combination of the chunky neck and the big frets. Very well balanced too so it hangs just right on the strap.

Also the Diablo through my Mesa Tremoverb was amazing sounding. Really big but articulate even with tons of gain.

Totally amazing guitar.
