NGD - My second LTD M-50FR

New member
Got my second neon orange M-50 FR in this week and swapped out the pickups today. I put a Duncan TB-6 Distortion trembucker in the bridge and a GFS VEH humbucker in the neck. Plays fantastic and now sounds amazing! My first one has a set of satin chrome covered JB (A2)/59 pickups in it.

What models are they? How do they feel vs a Gibson? I’m back on the EC bandwagon. I know I just need to go try some out, but I’m gassing for one (or three) again.

Less clunky and better ergonomics (setneck versions modelled after 2000's esp models)

OR

Much less clunky, very light, WAAY better ergonomics, but basically a singlecut 24.75" superstrat little to nothing in common with a gibson design (the 90's styled bolt-on ones... alas, most of the ones on offer are really low-end models)

The white EC is a 401 and is like a "slim taper" suit compared to a Les Paul if that makes sense? Lol. The middle EC is a 401VM and is very Les Paulish and the last is a 256. It's slim like the first but with the traditional neck joint.

Got to use the new M-50fr today. Never tried a Duncan distortion before, but wow it's brutal sounding. I like it. :)
