To me, metal keystone tuners = Seventies = Norlin. Aaaaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhhh!

Funny you should mention Norlin. I tried out a couple used 70's les pauls not long ago. Man, they want some serious coin for these now! Ironic after all the Norlin bashing over the years. There was a factory second Custom (with the "second" stamp) that was kinda cool in a retro way, and the shop wanted $2600 for it. Thing weighed a ton. I went back (not to buy, just to mess around) a week later and it sold, so they must've gotten fairly close to the asking price.

Nice! congrats! You going to put the pick guard back on or are you leaving it as is?

It came with a pickguard, but no pre-drilled holes. I'll probably leave it as is, because I wouldn't have the heart to drill holes into it. It's nice they give you the option, though.
