Ngd! parts-0-caster

Re: Ngd! parts-0-caster

Nice. Purity of the idea of function over form.

Very much like Paul Simon's Strat. He has one regular single coil, no pickguard, with the routes visible, like that one. I guess he uses a volume pedal, because there's no controls on the guitar...just an output jack.

I'm thinking he forgot to ground one side of the volume pot, changing it from a voltage divider to a series resistance. It works about like he described.

that is exactly what i did! lmao that wire/ground wasn't in the picture....

sounds best about 2/3 rolled off

Re: Ngd! parts-0-caster

Just what other kind of left handed bodies do you have laying around?

ive got some POS chinese tele body, and an MIM strat body i pulled apart to refinish, and then dropped :crying:

the strat body is weird! the finish basically just popped off, and the body is like 14 pieces!

pics of that one. maybe not easy to see but there is a front and back "lamination" or "cap" that is more than one part, and then the main "body" is like 6/8 pieces too. i think the paint didn't stick because the glue wasn't dry....

Holy crap! That would explain why most of the MIM strats I have played sounded kind of dead and flat.
