Well, I soldered the ground wire to the claw

Just so we are all using the same jargon to describe the same item, conventionally, the "claw" is the punched-out and bent metal piece that is held by screws at the neck end of the spring cavity to balance tension against the strings.

and yes I did buy a soldering iron. Unfortunately I need to get my Hammond's motor rebuilt too.

Well, I soldered the ground wire to the claw, because it was made that way and yes I did buy a soldering iron. Unfortunately I need to get my Hammond's motor rebuilt too.

lol just gotta through something about the hammand in didnt you .. i dont care.. just an observation

I'm still wondering what rebuilding the Hammond's motor has to do with making sure the guitar is properly grounded.

i thought the exact same thing as well.. i didnt wanna give him to much **** about it though..
