Ahhh, here it is. A nice new (to me) 2008ish Chinese SG400 in limited edition Pelham Blue. My two year old is eager to beat the crap out of it.

I looked in the electronics and they're regular old non-coil tapping humbuckers, so those are gonna have to go sooner or later. I may post a trade for some better ones soon...

Cool! I used to have a Chinese epi sg 61 reissue similar make and similar everything. but the neck on mine warped due to inactivity for awhile just sitting in the open lol I didn't take much care of it. but I put some SD's it sounded amazing. anyway! Congrats lol

Awesome! Congrats!! I had an EPI SG400about the same year. got it new on feebay for really cheap and it was a killer guitar! Put a Duncan c5 in it and sounded awesome!

I'm seeing C5 and a 59 in the neck, or maybe a P90. Hope I can find them on here...

I really love that colour on SGs. Looks awesome, man. Congrats! :beerchug:

I had a C5 and a '59n in an SG a while ago. They're a really great match to that style of guitar, in my opinion.

I'll admit, this guitar hit me in a weak spot. I'm sending a Hamer USA carcass off to the east coast for it, and I know that the Hamer is "worth" more than this guitar, but I'm a sucker retro blue guitars I guess. The whole Pelham line is dangerously sexy to me.

Aside from the pickups, I'm going to be putting a full pickguard on it in pearloid white and probably putting new knobs on as well with pearloid caps. I'd like to find a good looking tailpiece for it too, although I don't like the way hardtail SG/Firebird style builds incorporate tailpieces in so I'm probably gonna have to come up with something weird.

Sweet, I wouldn't mind a pelham blue SG myself. Especially a small p/g Special :drool:.

Epi SG's are awesome. Especially since you can get like, 6 of them for what one "real" SG goes for. And when your 2-year-old snaps the headstock off it you can always find another one just like it on CL. Enjoy yours, Pelham Blue rules. (Especially if you put a little ambered clear over it for that awesome aged teal color

A buddy of mine has a recent SG400 that he put "57 Classics" in and it just sounds amazing.

gah...yea, I'm going to be looking for pup trades soon. I brought the action down slightly too low and the pickups up pretty high and even with the strings being old, I should have gotten a little snap out of them. They're pretty toneless and flubbery. I like a mellow tone, but that's a little too much. Time to start watching the forums for upgrades with covers on em.

or just put new covers on. seems simple. WAT CUD GO RONG
