NGD! (PRS SE Baritone)

Re: NGD! (PRS SE Baritone)

How are you finding it because I’m debating selling my Fan Fret.
So far, it's great! I have it setup in Drop Bb with 13's, and the action is nice and low. The neck, although not thin, feels really fast. Overall, it's a great-playing guitar. Sounds good too! I kinda want to try a Nazgul in it, though. :)

Nice amigo! I've always wanted a baritone guitar. That one looks stellar.

CONGRATS!
Thank you! :)

Awesome man I’ve ordered myself a new Bari with an Evertune to replace my Fan Fret.

Gorgeous blue Bari. But what is the name of this guitar ? Which brand ?

For B or Bb tuning D'addario 14 - 68 seem perfect to me.

Maybe the 13 are easier to shred or bend ???

It’s a Jericho Elite 6 Baritone Evertune I currently use 12-68 as I use 9s in standard.
They are meant to cost around 1600 but it was almost half that on their Black Friday sale.
Jericho is an Texas Based Guitar company that’s only been going a few years but they’re guitars are built by WMI in South Korea

Wow that’s a gorgeous guitar!
Please give us a quick review once you’ve had a chance to put it through its paces!

Ah OK I remember seeing a Jericho baritone called Avenger which had good specs.

Quite a good deal then.

And it makes sense you use 12 on the bari (I use 14 because I use 10 in the standard guitars).

(WMI also built the PRS Mike Mushok and currently the PRS 277)

Nice! I’ve been thinking of selling my 7 string that I never play and getting one of these.

It is a matter of physics, for downtuning you get a better low tone with a longer scale (like 27" or 28") than with just a big gauge on a standard scale.

Those PRS are 27"7. And the Jericho (Avenger I mean) is in that range as well.

Re: NGD! (PRS SE Baritone)

Yep 17” radius ebony board with no inlays and 24 stainless steel frets.

So you won't need a re-fret or dressing soon !

And 24 frets on a Baritone is a good idea. Mine has 22 and stops at high A, but in one piece of music I needed the high B.

Are you happy with the sound of that Jericho ?

Something else:

Anybody tried the short lived MIM Telecaster HSS Baritone ?

It hasn’t arrived yet...
It’s still in shipping as I only ordered it on Friday.

That's awesome.

If there's one thing I'd change about my PRS SE's is the fingerboard radius. I'd prefer it if it were at least 12. The flatter, the better for me.

100% agree currently my favourites radii are 16,12-16 compound and 20

I passed up a custom Japanese made Yamaha AES baritone model in this blueburst style finish, except quilted top. I think it was made for Sevendust's guitarist, or one of those baritone-wielding 90s heyday bands. Still wish I could find it. I remember it was an ebay auction going for less than 800 shipped *kicks self*
