Had a 007 Elite a few years back, the HH version. Replaced the Duncan Designed pups with a Distortion set, and it rocked. Really cool body shape, hindered by awful upper fret access, but my hands are kinda fat.

I'd try a Custom/Cool Rails if I were you. Congrats!

Thats sick! Not really digging the white switch nor the inlay but I really like the dark red and the flame top. Awesome new guitar, enjoy it!

The switch is actually unfinished metal...might not even be original. lol Probably will get another one, it doesn't feel very sturdy.

And the inlays are my least favorite thing on this guitar. lol

I dislike the dots on my ibbi as well, I'm actually thinking about getting these inlay stickers for it... I don't know to be honest.

IMO, a simple black switch-top would make it nice

I think a black Gibson style switch of high quality wouldn't be a bad investment for this guitar.

What type of dots are on your Ibby–pics?

I thought about stickers for this one but these Diamonds basically cover everything lol I don't know if I can cover it up...

I really dig the body shape, I have small to medium sized hands so the upper fret access is great for me, but I could see how it could be bad for someone with bigger hands than mine.

The Custom/Cool Rails is a very good suggestion that I will look into! Thanks!

well those diamonds you have there are very big so I'd be difficult to block them out, but I think there's one on ebay where you can make your own signature block on the 12th fret, its like on the higher end ESP/LTD where it has the model on it LINK

I just have the standard dots on it, not a big fan of it. But block inlay stickers would look wrong on it as well, I think. thats why I'm not sure. I prefer no inlays to be honest A couple years ago I had some stickers like that and they were really nice, they didnt change the feeling and looked good

That's the one I was looking at! I just think the edges of the diamonds would extend further...not 100% sure.

I agree, my favorite guitar I own has no inlays, just side dots.

True, the diamonds on the schecter would probably go further out :/

I prefer the look of that, looks really clean. I dont know why there arent more manufacturers making it like that. less work and it looks better. weird... my current dream guitar is an iron label from ibanez, soooo clean and simple.

I'll always recommend the Alt 8 especially in that wood combo.

Depends what you want though. I'd go Alt 8 / Hot Rails or all PATB like vinta9e said.

Or if you want to go Dimarzio: Super Distortion / The Chopper. The Chopper neck is awesome.

I thought about the Alt 8 for another guitar–really need to try one to complete the magnet types I've tried (have a UOA5 coming in so the A8 is last one...wait, maybe A8 and A9 lol) Great suggestion!

So many good combos to try lol So far, I've never jived with DiMarzios in the bridge...nothing against them just always preferd Seymour Duncan bridge pickups.

I think a Maple board might look a little bare without inlays but for Ebony or Rosewood I think they look amazing without any!...just a personal preference.
