Got myself a schecter c1 custom in see-thru blue and it looks amazing!

http://www.schecterguitars.com/vault/listing/c-1-custom-2013-12-04-detail link to the model

Plays very well imo. anyone else jamming with the c1 custom? would love to hear other peoples opinions on it, not much info online about it or i'm just missing it haha, i'm really enjoying its play-ability and versatility of it with the SDs. and pictures don't do the color justice, it can look like a deep midnight blue or shining sapphire

hoping to learn more about this model not to much about it online

Re: NGD schecter

That’s a proper Schecter. Nice guitar.

Re: NGD schecter

thank you very much. i'm going to get pics up tomorrow. this is my first schecter but i've always heard good things about them!

Re: NGD schecter

Excellent pick up, I'm a fan of Schecters. A blue C1 is on my list of wanted guitars. I don't have this exact model, but I have a similar C1 in silver with a 24.75" scale. I really like it. It's brighter than any of my other Schecters and took some mag swapping to soften the high end. But it sounds great now.

I think the biggest difference in specs are the pickups and fretboards (mine is rosewood). A Custom Custom would sound terrific. Mine has the Duncan Designed HB 103N/102B. After A5 being too sharp and UOA5 being too weak, A8 was where I ended up for the bridge. The UOA5 is doing well in the neck in the neck. I'm very interested to hear your thoughts on how the Custom Custom sounds in this setup.

Congrats on the purchase, I'm looking forward to hearing more once you've had some time to get to know it better.

Only played a Schecter at an open jam one time. That one looks nice. Let us know.

Re: NGD schecter

i'll try to keep you guys updated. Thanks for the feedback!

Re: NGD schecter

Schecters are excellent guitars! Enjoy!!! I had a black C1 that was offered by Musicians Friend a few years back.. Had the 59/JB combo in it stock. I really liked the guitar, but was rolling them pretty rapidly in those days, so I sold it. Would love another, just cant justify the expense as I surely dont need one.

Re: NGD schecter

My main guitar right now is a Schecter C6 custom. I love it, my only issue is I would like to put new pick ups in it. This guitar stays in tune so well. I only need to tune maybe after 3 or 4 session compared to my old epiphone which would need a re-tune after a couple hours.

Re: NGD schecter

That's a nice looking C-1. Had a couple C-1 Triple X, TSH-1 and a Tempest through the years. My 2 cents; Schecters are very consistently manufactured, offer a lot of "bang for the buck" and are usually pretty nice playing instruments.

Re: NGD schecter

thank you!, i've played a few other schecters over the years also and i agree about the build consistency and bang for your buck. i paid $350 for my C-1 and if anything ever happened to it i would definitely go the schecter route, either another C-1 custom or a classic.

Re: NGD schecter

That's a great looking guitar! The ebony fret board is a bonus and the 24 frets gives you all the notes you need.

Re: NGD schecter

I have owned a few Schecters over the years, I think they are great bang for the buck guitars....and could be easily modded into flat out great guitars. My current one is an older (different wiring) C1EA. I installed REAL Duncan USA pickups and Grover locking tuners. It is fantastic, and even the piezo sounds great.

Re: NGD schecter

I've always had GAS for those semi hollows with a Piezo..

Cool score! In my experience they play great, have good Electronics from the factory, are nice and light and you can scoop them up really reasonably. Enjoy!
