Hey folks. I'm kinda new here and fell off the internet cliff when my laptop was attacked with the Swine Flu. I had this mod done to my Epi Silverburst LP about a month back, and finally got my computer up and running again.
New 500k Gibby pots. Schaller roller bridge, Gibby PUP Selector, Gibby input jack. Basically gutted the whole thing. It came with Grover 18-1's which work pretty well, so they stayed, but the entire body hardware is all new.
DiMarzio 36th Anniversary PAF HB in the neck, with push/pull on the tone for coil split.
SD P-rail in the bridge with Triple Shot mounting ring set for P-90, Single Coil Rail, Parallel HB, and Series HB. 14 different positions.
Individual pups: http://www.tindeck.com/listen/niov
Combo pups: http://www.tindeck.com/listen/sgfu
Not my best playing; just running through the diff. sounds. When you hear me jumping around on the combos, that's me flipping to the individual pups and the between positions real quick to show which PUPS are being utilized and how they sound combined. Used a Fulltone OCD for dirt, and MXR 10-band EQ, through a Valve Jr. mic'd into a Fender 1x15 KXR to my laptop. ****ty demo is ****ty, but there it is.
Very cool, versatile guitar now. Can emulate lots of guitar sounds: Tele, Semi-Hollow, Lucielle-type tones, Jazzy, LP (of course), and even a lighter SG with that sharp bite. It doesn't really do a strat with the quack and overall sound, but I didn't expect that anyway. I have a strat for that. But for recording, gigging, and just noodling around, it's a pretty neat axe.
