My testing guitar/rig/doodah:

Unfortunately, having waited an age for the luthier to do certain bits I don't have the confidence/tools for, I'd overlooked him surface mounting the neck and bridge (it's intended to be able to simply slide pickups in, and out under the strings for quick testing, so was preoccupied with that aspect), which has meant the bridge has sky high leverage. String tension is [predictably] pulling it over, so it all needs redoing, but I want to avoid damaging the new set of strings on it - can I likely get away with loosening them up enough to remove the bridge, taping them together etc, and be able to put it all back later? I'll need to detatch the neck too, so somewhat hoping I can keep neck/strings/bridge together, so any tips would be handy
