NGD!!! Super Strat Goodness

I was going to wait until I installed the DiMarzios... But after cleaning it up, putting new strings on, and jamming I cannot wait to share my new toy.

1.) Dude, congrats. That is awesome.
2.) Radiators are awesome, too.
3.) Is that a new one, an old one, a reissue?

Re: NGD!!! Super Strat Goodness

I got it used. Let me search the internets and see exactly how old it is...

So, it looks like it's a 2010 & was made in the Cort Indonesia Factory

Word!

I thought it was an RG350MYE but that truss cover is different.

In fact, that's real different. No string retainer either.

What model is it?

The truss rod cover is indeed different from any I've seen before. Model number is RG350M

Re: NGD!!! Super Strat Goodness

Huh, yeah I'm looking online and it seems that the newer 350's have that cover.

Sweet guitar though! I love mine. Get them DiMarzios in and rock!

Re: NGD!!! Super Strat Goodness

1) RG's are great guitars and I love that maple board!
2) AWESOME Terrorvision gif, TheLivingDead!

Re: NGD!!! Super Strat Goodness

Everyone should own an RG at some point and I love the bright yellow.

Re: NGD!!! Super Strat Goodness

That's pretty sweet. I'd love to own an Ibanez but I can't gel with most Wizard necks. I'll find one that fits me eventually.

Love those Ibanez's!! Specially the neons. 80s metal baby!!! What an awesome tremstop idea on the cheap!!

Re: NGD!!! Super Strat Goodness

No, not standard 5-way.

http://www.dimarzio.com/sites/default/files/diagrams/3hep1112_1v1t_split2and4C.pdf

I used that diagram. Got it all wired up, tested it before i put the pickguard and strings back on and everything was working exactly the way the diagram says it should. Then I shoved everything back in there, put the strings on and plugged it in... and some connection came loose or got grounded out because I only get the neck humbucker properly... So I guess the strings are coming back off. I knew this switch would stress me out somehow.

Re: NGD!!! Super Strat Goodness

Fixed It. For anyone who may be considering putting one of the giant DiMarzio switches in an RG, please be aware there is not enough room in the cavity for this bigass switch. It will hit the bottom of the control cavity and ground itself out...

Re: NGD!!! Super Strat Goodness

Awesome, I like that wiring scheme.

I know that feel though man. It's definitely cramped under the pickguard. Glad you got it all sorted out.
