Long story short... I decided I should get a cheap acoustic guitar ... So go to big box guitar store and find a Yamaha 710 with a lil scratch marked down to 150 from 200... Got home and put new strings on and just wasn't into it... No resonance or sustain and just not fun to play... So I decided I should try out some better ones and see how much I'd have to spend to really get something that sounded bright and resonant.. I played a ton of guitars today and hands down this was the best sounding one that was under 1500 bucks... It's hard to find a good rosewood A/E for under that but this Takamine sure does fill some big shoes.

the woodwork on it is stunning imo for the price point... Flamed maple/B/rosewood/B/W/B binding, quilt maple/rosewood back rosewoood sides and fingerboard, split saddle, abalone inlays in the fingerboard, wood tuner knobs...

The $200 Yamaha left me uninspired... This $550 Takamine has me grinning from ear to ear. :D

Ended up at a little over 600 bucks with hard case added.
