NGD: The waiting is hardest part

Re: NGD: The waiting is hardest part

i don't like it, but to each their own.

( some guys are okay with you respectfully not liking thier gear, others seem to take it as a personal affront. I'm ok with it either way.The reason I say that I'm ok with it is because one of my best friends said something about my other best friend guitars, and they literally haven't spoken to each other for two years now because of that, so I do get it, but i don't agree with it, because you are welcome to say anything you want about my gear, I do not need validation-sure it's nice- and I do not hold it against anyone for not liking my gear.)

I have read some comments on here about your gear, I'm glad it doesnt bother you

^For sure prefer that era Javelin to the earlier generation; I'd take either one still. Surprised that paint job didn't spring immediately to mind when I saw your guitar.

Me too! I guess I knew it subconsciously though.

Re: NGD: The waiting is hardest part

Well I picked it up Friday night and went right to rehearsal with it. 22 year old strings and needing a bit of relief it still kicked ass! lol

It spent sometime on the bench yesterday getting setup and polished and purty. Plays like a dream, the skinny neck takes a bit of getting used to but is so easy to play it feels like cheating. The pickups sound great, I should have measured the output, they seem fairly hot but they can't really be adjusted as high as I would like them. They pick up a lot of noise so the bridge is likely getting replaced with something I can gig with. Probably get something stacked but we'll see what I can get wound up.

Re: NGD: The waiting is hardest part

I'd like to apologize for my post. I was rather sloshed at the time, and I haven't had one drink since...about a hundred.Anyway, there is no nice way to say you do not like someones guitar. You wouldn't do it in person , so you should'nt do it on the internet ( sorry, i was raised by wolves, so I only just realized this).

Best thing to do is just, as they say..STFU. it's a matter of personal taste, nothing wrong with the guitar of course.

if i have a guitar that i love, and you think its crap, thats fine. i just know your taste sucks :D

Re: NGD: The waiting is hardest part

Just ordered a bridge pickup thru the Custom Shop, kind of psyched

Re: NGD: The waiting is hardest part

I ordered a custom rail, A5, medium output with some notes for the CS to try and lean towards the Mosrite tone

I assume a rail had to be the best option because of the tight string spacing. I figure they'll reach out to me if they have a better idea.

Now that's a unique colour scheme on your new axe and I really dig Mosrite guitars thanks to Johnny Ramone. Congrats on your purchase and rock that baby out!:)

Re: NGD: The waiting is hardest part

I can't wait!

Thinking about dropping a Hot Rails or something in there in the meantime

Re: NGD: The waiting is hardest part

Uh oh I ordered a friend for Buck to hang out with, should be here tomorrow

Re: NGD: The waiting is hardest part

Personally, I usually like everyone else's guitars, it's my guitars that I have problems with! But I do dig the Bart haircut on that one.

Re: NGD: The waiting is hardest part

Pickup is in and righteous!
