NGD - Three's Company

Re: NGD - Three's Company

yeah really!?? been a long time since Ive been blown.... er, um.... my socks I mean...Looking forward to the WLH update too! I LOVE Em in my LP!
I installed them tonight - without realizing I had misplaced my solder. Oh well, I'll get them wired up tomorrow.

Re: NGD - Three's Company

Very, very nice. I keep telling myself that I am SO LUCKY that I don't like Paul Reed Smiths! LOL! That one, though, is definitely a GAS inducer!

Enjoy!

I love mine, and funnily enough I stuck a set of WLHs in mine too! They do indeed scream, but they also sound great softer and split! :D

I kept telling myself that. I was kinda hoping that I wouldn't like them, but they play so fantastically well!

Re: NGD - Three's Company

The WLH's are installed and as expected, the guitar now screams. Unfortunately, I couldn't play it at any kind of good volume, and I'm on vacation this week. I will be able to bring my amp to work next weekend and crank it up though, so at least there's that.

Re: NGD - Three's Company

One of my goals for next year is to get a PRS. Everyone I know who owns one has nothing bad to say about them. Not sure which one I want between the C24 or SC45.

How does the baritone you have play?

Re: NGD - Three's Company

The Mushok plays very nicely. Not as nice as the USA made ones, but very nice for just a few hundred bucks.

Re: NGD - Three's Company

I ask because the band i'm in the tunes were recorded on a Seven which I have no problem playing but prefer to stay on Six so i'm looking a baritones to play the music.

Re: NGD - Three's Company

Still waiting for my gold covered WLH set to arrive, but then they're going into the CU22. May as well get the 'Bonamassa' set into the Tokai at the same time. :D

That's the same reason I got a baritone. I wanted the range of a seven but the feel of a six. Be aware that the PRS baritone has a 27.7 scale length. It's really long, and it may take a bit to adjust. But IMO bigger than that is getting used to how stiff the strings are. Playing a baritone as a lead instrument is a different animal.

Re: NGD - Three's Company

I polished up the bridge, installed the WLH set, and just for kicks added a chrome switch tip.

Re: NGD - Three's Company

Guess you don't need that stupid ugly green one any more. If you want I could swap you my Dual Showman cab for it.

Re: NGD - Three's Company

Thanks, Joe! Yeah, it's been a great guitar year for me. But that's not even counting the guitar that I put a deposit on in February. It will blow everyone's socks off, I guarantee it.

And what do I get if my socks aren't blown off? I don't impress easily.
