NGD - US Fender Stratocaster

So this is really a new-old guitar day, I got this guitar in trade (Ibanez Prestige SZ2020) like two years ago or so but my dad liked it so much that I gave it to him (he taught me guitar and gave me an old Charvel that he ordered in the 80's...so a small way of saying thank you.) My dad loved the way the guitar played but didn't really care for the single coils. I recently finished a Basswood Strat project that had a Screamin Demon, Lil Screamin Demon, and Liquifire in it with a Roasted Maple neck and Stainless Steel frets...not only did my dad love it but it really fit his style of playing and sounded perfect through his gear.

So he got the Warmoth build and I got this Strat back. I replaced the pickups with Fender Fat 50's and just love the tone. Now to the interesting part–its actually more or less a partscaster. It has a Fender USA Deluxe body with a Fender American Standard neck. The body is Ash and the neck is Maple&Rosewood but will need the frets replaced eventually (I'll be going with Stainless Steel.) It plays great and sounds great (to me) so I'm happy with it even if it is a partscaster.

Thanks! I love white pickguards on a white guitar–one of my favorite color schemes on Strats.

Hey, not a bad way to replace a Warmoth imo. Nice guitar bro!

ha! I will miss that Roasted Quatersawn Maple neck with Stainless Steel frets BUT I just got a Musikraft Ash H/S San Dimas body in...will be using a Roasted Maple neck with Stainless Steel frets on that one!

I hope I also love a roasted maple neck with SS frets. Mine should be here any day now.

That white and white is beautiful! Also, the sound of a clean strat neck pickup is as blissful as tone gets. Enjoy!

EDIT: It needs amber knobs though ;-)

Nice Strat! :)

Thanks!

I think you will man...the Roasted Maple feels amazing in the hands and the SS frets are so easy to stretch the strings on. Also, I try not to squeeze too hard but when I do on Nickel frets it feels like you are cutting into the fret but with the SS you don't get that at all. I think you will love it

Thanks! Definitely love the clean Strat neck pickup tones!

Haha! Too funny! :laughing::bigok::laugh2::biglaugh::burnout:

Re: NGD - US Fender Stratocaster

I think that if you use Gibsons or Superstrats, having a proper Fender Stratocaster around is a wise thing, as they're always the king of clean.

Fat 50's have always been my favorite Fender strat pickups, so there's no need to question them, thinking about upgrading. I think it's the most perfectly voiced strat neck pickup.

I agree 100%! All of my other guitars are humbucker Strats (mix of Fender and Gibson scale) so having a proper Fender Strat around completes things ;) And I've posted on here before that Fender Fat 50's are my favorite single coils–chimey rich clean tones and the neck pickup is just beyond amazing!
