Quick background story: a bit ago I had bought an unfinished USA Custom Guitar Tele project. I didn't care for the neck as it had a Rosewood board with the Gibson scale. So I won a bid for a loaded MIJ Tele body and assembled it–played very nice (new found respect for USA CG necks!) and had a super clean tone, not quite as "Tele" sounding but I think that had more to do with the scale and Rosewood combo. So I put it up for sale on Craigslist and I got a trade offer that was incredible.
Warmoth Soloist Alder+Flame Maple top, Roasted Maple neck with Rosewood board, medium jumbo Stainless Steel Frets, non-fine tuning Floyd system, super nice staggered Schaller tuners, DiMarzio Area 58 and 61 singles in the neck and mid...and an epic Motor City Black Belt 2 in the bridge! Probably my new favorite bridge pickup...this thing covers clean to raunchy and everything in between. Overall, super satisfied with the trade deal.
