Good fortune smiled on me when I was provided with a set of P-Rails and triple shots.
The guitar sounded good with the GOTOH pickups it came with. However, it really has come alive with the P-Rails!
I would encourage anyone interested in getting the broad tonal variety that these P90/hot rails pups provide to give them serious consideration.

Yeah, it is most definitely a wonderful NGD.

looks cool, betcha it sounds cool too. i found that i liked the neck flipped so the rail is closer to the neck. thickened up the rail and gave the p90 a tiny bit clearer sound

I recently installed a set of P-Rails in my SG and they're awesome. Unfortunately I'll be without it for a week as BrianS will be installing a new TUSQ-XL nut for me. Combined with the Gotoh locking klusons I'm hoping it'll finally stay in tune.

Again,I'd've had to swap the pot & switch locations,but as long as it works out!!!

Thanks for the tip. I tried it and I liked it but not yet sure which orientation is best. Will give some switching back and forth over the next couple of weeks.

Since Triple Shots are governing the pickup coil permutations, what are the two small switches for? Phase reversal? Series/parallel interconnection between the two pickups? Something else?



And, before you ask, yes, I have P-Rails and P-Rails Hot pickups and Triple Shots on my PRS SE Semi-Hollow.

right, we know that. there are two mini switches on the guitar along with the volume, tone and three way. what do the mini switches do

Whoops, misunderstood the question. The two mini switches are relics from the original set up for coil splitting the GOTOH pups...they do nothing now.
