That's a really good price for a custom actually. I've played a few of them, and decided to go with the standard because of the wood. VERY IMPORTANT to note that the custom does not have maple back and sides (rosewood rather) and has an ebony fretboard. Fancier looks, but a totally different beast.

Actually, the one locally has absolutely beautiful flamed maple back, sides and neck with what I thought was a rosewood fretboard, although it could be ebony, but it has simply incredible flaming on it. Maybe they have it misidentified. :eyecrazy:

It's not a custom if it has maple. It's probably just a standard. 3200$ used would be about right.

Thanks boys. I'm growing fond of it.

I'll record clips when I get a good microphone from my drummer's house. I was going to record directly from the Fishman preamp, onto my computer, but the tone gets colored heavily (in a good way compared to all other acoustics I've tried to plug), but if I want to capture the tone of the guitar for documentation, I want to use an room microphone with no effects.

Honestly, the price made me a bit uncomfortable at first (even if my fiance bought it, we share all expenses), but it's worth every penny of the asking price. LOVE this guitar.

I named her Alice.
